Pleiger PMC 2000
Telecontrol System for public Utilities and Automation
The PMC 2000 telecontrol and automation system is used to control and monitor processes in public utility networks and industrial automation systems. It transmits measured and counter values, alarms, warning messages and switch position messages to the control system and controls switching and positioning commands received from the control system. The robust system design is designed for use in harsh environments.
PMC 2000 offers the possibility to realize simple and cost-effective automation systems of almost any complexity according to the desired application. Housings with 15, 7 and 1 I/O slot are available. Several telecontrol housings can be cascaded to a large station via CAN bus.
The system consists of the mc3 microcontroller unit with 32-bit ARM processor, digital and analog I/O modules, as well as modules for connecting further subsystems based on the RS 232 and RS 485 serial interfaces.
The connection to the control system can be made via a 2-wire connection, Ethernet, or alternatively via radio modules according to customer specifications. The telecontrol protocols IEC 60870-5-101 and IEC 60870-5-104 are used for communication. The connection of additional external devices, such as power analysers or short-circuit direction and earth-fault direction indicators, can be implemented using a Modbus RTU interface.
In addition to the hardware modules, PLEIGER Elektronik offers an easy-to-use configuration and parameterization tool. Hardware and software are available as modules as well as completely configured systems.
