In mid-February 2019, the re-equipment of the production control system at the sand-lime brick plant Bienwald in Southern Germany was completed.
The 3-week winter break could be used for removing the existing control cabinets and for the prepared installation of new components. The existing cabling was largely retained and partly supplemented.
Pleiger’s current sand-lime brick automation includes state-of-the-art technology based on SIMATIC S7-1500 and WinCC.
With this and the software modules from Pleiger Elektronik, which have been tried and tested over many years, the adaptation to the special requirements of the operator was carried out quickly and cost-effectively.
The successful start of the production, the parameterization of the control loops as well as the training of the operators was ensured by the support of the Pleiger service personnel. A further optimisation of the process was carried out together with the plant manager via remote data access.
