The Pleiger Elektronik GmbH & Co. KG deals with the development, production and marketing of industrial electronic components, equipment and systems.

For this purpose the following main activity areas are housed in approx. 1,500 square metres of office, laboratory and workshop space at the Witten location:

• Hardware and software development,
• System planning and projecting,
• Circuit cards and equipment production,
• Switch cabinet construction and test lab,

as well as further service areas such as quality management, office, material management, warehouse, operations scheduling, despatch, sales, commissioning and after-sales service.

We employ highly qualified and motivated members of staff, the number of which has continued to rise over the past few years. Almost half of our staff members are employed in our engineering areas. One third of our employees have university or advanced technical college qualifications. Skilled workers exclusively are employed in the areas of equipment production and switch cabinet construction.

Order processing, from the simple production order for a standard component, to the handling of a customized project and on to the internal or external development order, is carried out using appropriate software support, for example ERP-/PPS, CAD and development systems.

We use efficient and, to a great extent, automated, modern production methods. The high proportion of type-approved components and equipment in our product and production programme illustrates our high quality standard from system planning to development and production.

We use the short routes within our building, our workstation network and the fibre optic line connecting our group of companies consistently in order to be directly available for our clients at nearly all times and give them our advice and support.
